Here is the first newsletter for the 5th annual Quartzsite Desert Dust Run 2027. There are a lot of exciting things going on in the background. We want to welcome back the members of Newmar Kountry Klub. A big thanks to JD and Heather for this heavy lift. We believe that you will find this a unique event on the NKK rally circuit. We suspect we will be a larger group and may have to close registration down at some point. Since you all have been gracious enough to support this event, I ask that if you plan on attending ,please register ASAP.

MOVIE NIGHT

Movie nights are back by popular demand. The theme this year is RV related movies. There will be a list of movies on the web site in September for everyone to vote for their favorites. The top three movies will be selected. We’ve added a 25 foot inflatable screen and a new projector. Our concession stand will be serving free popcorn and candy.

New meal items for this year:

1. Fresh ground gourmet coffee ☕️, hot apple cider and hot chocolate will be served with each breakfast meal.

2. French dip sandwiches will now be on the menu on one of the nights.

Other updated changes during the event:

🎪 The Big Tent will open on Friday 1/15/2027 instead of Saturday. If interested, we will still head to the Desert Bar on Saturday 1/16/2027. Seminars will be held on Wednesday and Thursday 1/13-1/14/2027.

We still plan on pizza 🍕 and ice cream 🍨 night. Band 🎸will be determined later this year.

Arizona Peace Trail - Option

For those interested in something new for this year: the week after the Big Tent, (1/24/26-1/31/26)we are thinking of doing a Jeep and SXS Peace Trail run. For those of you that don’t know, the Peace Trail is a 750+ mile off road Loop trail running throughout Arizona. Here is a separate sign up sheet for those interested, we believe the cost will be somewhere between $1,000-2,000 for the 5-7 days of off-roading and hotels, storage of our rvs, food, gas. This event will be for a limited number of 4x4 and Sxs running as two separate groups. We should average approximately 100-120 miles each day. We will be bring lunch on the trail as breakfast and dinner will be in the towns where we are stopping overnight. If the interest is there, we will make this an annual added event with the thought of doing other 4x4 areas (for example Wickenburg, AZ ) each year.

Cost Change

Unfortunately, we will need to increase the attendee fee to $150/rig. Any excess funds will go into the capital improvement fund for the event. Hopefully, we can build the grills and have a grill your own protein night for 2028.

Registration has Begun

Registration will start on 7/1/2026. Payment by check will be accepted until November 10, 2026 and Zelle payments will be accepted until 12/15/2026. We offer full refunds up until 12/15/2026.
