Nearly all RVers have heard the name: Quartzsite, Arizona. 🌵

Quartzsite becomes the RV capital of the desert every winter

Each winter, this small desert town transforms into the epicenter of the RV world. Thousands of rigs—from motorhomes and fifth wheels to vans and teardrops—roll onto the surrounding BLM land for weeks of boondocking, community, and adventure.

But Quartzsite isn’t just about camping—it’s about connection. And it all comes together at the famous Quartzsite Sports, Vacation, and RV Big Tent Show.

What Makes Quartzsite Special?

Quartzsite is unique because it combines wide-open land for boondocking with the feel of a massive RV gathering.

Here’s what makes it magical:

  • Endless space: The BLM land around Quartzsite offers plenty of room to camp off-grid.

  • Accessibility: The terrain is flat, the roads are easy, and there’s a welcoming vibe for RVers of all levels.

  • Community: From January to February, thousands of people come together to share meals, swap tips, and enjoy life under the desert sky.

  • Adventure: Jeeping, side-by-sides, hiking, rock hounding, and desert sunsets make every day different.

It’s no wonder Quartzsite has become a bucket-list stop for RVers across the country.

The Quartzsite Desert Dust Run

One of the best ways to experience Quartzsite is with a group. That’s why we’re gathering for the Quartzsite Desert Dust Run, Jan 10–18, 2026.

Picture this:

  • RVs circled up on the desert floor

  • Nights around the fire swapping stories

  • Daytime rides on desert trails 🚙

  • Shared meals and casual entertainment 🍲

  • Friends—new and old—helping each other learn and grow

  • Seminars and guest speakers

It’s more than a camping trip—it’s a chance to live the freedom of off-grid RVing with community by your side.

The Big Tent RV Show: A Must-See

Our rally ends just in time for the legendary Quartzsite Sports, Vacation, and RV Big Tent Show (Jan 17–25, 2026). 🎪

  • Food vendors, clubs, and organizations catering to every type of RVer.

  • The chance to connect with thousands of other Camping and RVing enthusiasts all in one place.

Attending the rally first means you’ll already be camped, connected, and ready to dive into the show.

Why Combine Quartzsite Desert Dust Run + The Show?

By joining the Quartzsite Desert Dust Run Group first, you’ll:

  • Arrive with friends who can guide you.

  • Already know the lay of the land.

  • Have a supportive group to return to after the show each day.

  • Get the best of both worlds: quiet nights in the desert + excitement of the expo.

It’s the easiest, most rewarding way to experience Quartzsite RV camping at its best.

The first time I sent to Quartzsite it was specifically because I'd heard so much about it. In fact, I had heard as an RVer it was a 'right of passage.' True or not? I don't know but I am heading back again this year for a third time. I'd say it must be something in the water but it's not, its the wonderful people and friendships I have developed in this Quartzsite Desert Dust Run group. Save travels all, I am looking forward to seeing you all and making new friends in too.
